ALMATY, Kazakhstan and ISTANBUL, Türkiye – August 4, 2026 - Air Astana and easie by ICRON have announced the go-live of the easie Resource Management System at Almaty International Airport, marking an important milestone in the airline’s continued development of scalable and connected ground operations.
Delivered in four months through close collaboration between the Air Astana and easie by ICRON teams, the implementation brings workforce planning, rostering, task assignment and real-time operational management into one integrated environment.

The solution is currently used by approximately 500 ground employees, with adoption expected to reach around 800 by the end of 2026. Its integrated Roster Management and Real-Time Management capabilities connect workforce planning with day-of-operations execution, giving planning and operational teams a shared view of resource availability, assignments and changing requirements.
Through the mobile application, employees can access roster-related self-service capabilities and receive operational assignments in real time. They can accept tasks, report progress and update their status directly through the system, enabling faster and more accurate communication between employees, planners and operational teams.
Advanced planning capabilities help Air Astana develop workforce schedules based on operational demand, employee availability and qualification requirements. By replacing previously manual and time-consuming processes, the system supports more efficient roster preparation, improved planning accuracy, fewer resource conflicts and greater flexibility when operational requirements change.
Air Astana Group carried 9.7 million passengers across 132 routes and 22 countries in 2025. As the airline continues to expand, aligning workforce capacity with an increasingly complex flight programme is essential to sustaining operational performance.
“The successful go-live of the easie Resource Management System marks an important step in strengthening the operational foundations that support Air Astana’s continued growth. By connecting workforce planning with real-time execution, we are giving our teams greater visibility and the ability to respond more effectively as operational requirements change. The new environment will help us maintain operational control and coordination as our network and workforce continue to expand.” Filippos Siakkas, Chief Operating Officer, Air Astana

The go-live follows the agreement signed by Air Astana and ICRON in Istanbul in January 2026. The project progressed from implementation to operational use in four months, supported by close alignment between the two organizations throughout system configuration, deployment and adoption.
“This milestone reflects a shared commitment to delivering meaningful operational change within a demanding timeframe. Together, the Air Astana and easie teams have established an integrated resource management environment that connects planning with execution and can evolve alongside the airline’s network, workforce and operational complexity. We are proud to support Air Astana in building a more responsive and scalable operating model.” Esad Taha Çakıcı, VP Operations, easie by ICRON
Early operational results demonstrate the impact of the new environment. Roster preparation time has been reduced from seven working days to three, representing a 57% reduction. Monthly planning exceptions requiring manual resolution have fallen by approximately 67%, from around 30 to 10, while the time required to communicate operational changes, assign tasks, confirm acceptance and update execution status has fallen from 20 minutes to five.
Air Astana has also expanded its planning function from five planners providing daytime support to eight planners delivering continuous 24/7 coverage, strengthening the airline’s ability to respond as operational conditions change.

With the platform now operational, Air Astana and easie by ICRON will continue working together to support adoption, advance operational processes and extend the value of the system as the airline’s requirements evolve.
